How to make a Home Remedy Tea for Indigestion

A home remedy for indigestion I have used is a tea made from the roots of Devil's Claw. As it is slightly bitter, I drink it down in one rapid sitting. It has proved to be effective yet I have often wondered if that isn't only my digestive system's reaction to the bitterness and its reluctance to repeat the remedy.

Things You'll Need:

1. The root or tuber of the Devil's Claw.

2. Tea Kettle or pot for boiling water.

3. Measuring utensils

1

Bring 2 cups of water to a rapid boil.

2

Steep 1 tsp of chopped or powdered dry root in it for 20 minutes.

3

Strain and cool.

Tips & Warnings

1. Get it swallowed as fast as possible.

2. Devil's claw can, also, be found as dried, powdered or fresh root supplements in health food stores.

3. Better use bottled water.

1. The high mineral content of many area's tap water does NOTHING to enhance the taste of the tea. (Shudder)
